Flash RADBOX straight
from this page.
Plug the Core2 in with a USB-C cable, press the button and wait about a minute. Nothing to install on your computer, nothing to compile, no account to create.
This install erases all settingsIt writes a complete factory image from offset 0x0. Brightness, volume, language and every Signal Card on the cube are gone. There is no settings-preserving update in this build — the migration has not been tested on the device yet, so we do not offer one.
A release candidate, not a finished product. The owner authorised distributing this exact build on 8 August 2026. What is still open: the hand tests and the soak on the device, the runtime band, which is modelled rather than measured, and the name — RADBOX is a working brand that has not been cleared. There is no public repository.

Five steps, about a minute of waiting.
Get the right cube
RADBOX is tuned to the M5Stack Core2 v1.3. Other revisions are not covered by this build.
Use a cable that carries data
A charge-only USB-C cable shows no port at all. If nothing appears, install the CH9102 driver from the M5Stack site.
Press the button above
Chrome or Edge on Windows or macOS. The browser asks which port to use — pick the one that appeared when you plugged the cube in.
Confirm the erase
The installer dialog says it too, in both languages. There is no way back from this step.
Wait for the first scan
The cube restarts on its own and opens the first scan screen. Everything after that happens on the device.

What you may do with it, and how to get the source.
RADBOX and the Core2 Foundation work are Apache-2.0. The separate screen-capture tool is GPL-3.0-only and is not linked into the firmware — this is a deliberately mixed-licence project, not a claim that GPL code became Apache. M5Unified and M5GFX are MIT; the Arduino-ESP32 framework brings LGPL-2.1 and component licences of its own. All of it ships next to the image:

Written offer for the source, valid through at least 2029-08-08RADBOX 0.1.0-rc15 statically links LGPL-2.1-or-later material. For at least three years from 8 August 2026, and for no more than the cost of distribution, Tomasz Fiedoruk offers every recipient the complete corresponding machine-readable source together with the relinking materials the licence requires. Ask for them through fiedoruk.pl. No source archive ships with this binary: on the first valid request the owner creates the official public RADBOX repository and then hands the materials over.
