What we tested

This is test version 0.3. Here is exactly what we checked, what we haven't yet, and how the installer makes sure a file is the right one.

Tested

All 13 games reached their first scenes on one Tab5 (ESP32-P4 rev. 1.3, ST7123 screen) with a 32 GB FAT32 card. We checked walking, selected actions, saving, loading and a restart over USB; how much we checked depends on the game. In each game we look for three things:

Not tested yet

Nobody has played the games through to the end on Tab5, listened carefully to the sound, or played for a long time with fingers only. In Curse of Monkey Island talking works with KEYS → t → ✓; choosing from the action wheel by gesture hasn't been measured.

What's in this version

9 free games and 4 from your own GOG library, each in exactly the version listed in the documentation. Sołtys, Sfinx and Dragon History are in Polish. Mandy is not included (more below).

How the installer checks files

  1. The whole file must match one of the exact versions we know. We compare its SHA-256 fingerprint.
  2. Every game file inside has its own expected size and fingerprint.
  3. Tab5 checks each file again on the card before it makes it available.

We check the version of the file, not who owns it, and we never ask for a GOG login. ZIP and PKG files are read on your computer; game data is never sent to our server.

Mandy: tried, not included

We worked on Mandy Christmas Adventure, including its Polish version. On Tab5 we got the first room running, with saving and loading, but opening the menu after loading still ran out of memory. So Mandy is not in this version. We kept the results from 22 September 2026 for later.

What next?

The Griffon Legend, God of Thunder and Broken Sword 2.5 may come in a later version if people are interested. Each needs its own tests of controls and memory; they are not in the current package.
