Start with the connection you have.
Kiara is still before its first physical pilot. This is the intended setup path and a practical guide to the states we are testing.
Join private Wi-Fi
A prepared cube comes with a private start card. Scan its Wi-Fi QR or enter the details manually.
Open the HTTPS panel
Use the second code or saved link. Do not bypass a certificate warning.
Confirm the device
Hold the button for 5 seconds, release and use the temporary eight-digit pairing code.
Choose internet
Select home or hotel Wi-Fi in the panel. Rejoin Kiara if a channel change disconnects your phone.
Import VPN and check
Import your private WireGuard profile. Check Wi-Fi, filter and tunnel separately.
Preparing a blank cube and DIY installation use USB on a computer. The intended user path for an already prepared cube uses a phone.
The panel shows a certificate warning.
Stop before entering passwords. The planned recovery uses a physical device code and a public signed renewal capsule. Phone acceptance is part of G05; it is not yet a supported public service.
Wi-Fi is connected but there is no internet.
Check the cube’s upstream connection, VPN and database separately. A locked VPN vault or a hotel portal may need your action. Wi-Fi association alone is not a protection result.
One website no longer works.
Use the local panel to diagnose the blocked domain. The optional-profile pause keeps mandatory threat rules. A threat exception is separate, exact and temporary.
Will it remove all ads and scams?
No. A DNS filter cannot reliably separate ads from content on the same domain and cannot know every new threat. Kiara does not read SMS, emails or encrypted page content.
Can it work with every hotel?
No blanket promise. The candidate targets 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Enterprise networks, 5 GHz-only access and complex captive portals need separate qualification.
